River levels are remaining high on the River Calder due to heavy rainfall. Flooding in areas adjacent to the river is still possible through out today, 21st October 2023 and into the evening. Our incident rooms are open, and we are closely monitoring the situation. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and consider putting your flood plan into action. River Calder
River levels are rising on the River Calder at Stanley, Methley, Mickletown and Whitewood Mere due to heavy rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Calder at Stanley, Methley, Mickletown and Whitewood Mere, with low lying land expected to be most affected. Flooding is expected from 07:45 PM on 20/10/2023 with a peak at 01:30 AM at a level of 4.1m. Further rainfall is forecast overnight. River levels are expected to remain high. Our incident rooms are open and we are closely monitoring the situation. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. River Calder
River levels have risen rapidly as a result of persistent heavy rainfall. Consequently, flooding of property, roads and farmland is possible from 18:30 Sunday 20/02/2022. Areas most at risk are riverside properties. River levels are expected to peak later this evening. Further rainfall is forecast over the next 12 hours and we expect river levels to remain high overnight and into tomorrow, Monday 21/02/2022. We are closely monitoring the situation and our incident response staff are closely monitoring the forecast. Please plan driving routes to avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded, and put your flood plan into action.
